An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the South West Clinical Schools, based at the University of Plymouth (****The South West Clinical Schools is a collaboration between the University and the NHS to encourage nurses, midwives and other allied health professionals to look at their practice, challenge current thinking, try out new ideas and work out ways to measure what they're doing. We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated individual to work as part of the South West Clinical Schools team, supporting the Professors who lead the individual centres within the NHS Trusts with all aspects of the development and delivery of clinical research together with administrative duties. You will also be expected to liaise with external stakeholders and therefore the ability to communicate clearly, calmly and effectively with a broad range of people is important. Organisational skills and the ability to work both on your own and as part of a team are essential. The post requires flexibility and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. A working knowledge of the Health Research Authority and experience of undertaking NHS ethics submissions is required, as well as being able to demonstrate skills in IT, SPSS or similar statistics software, alongside experience of research methods and techniques. A First degree in health or social sciences is required, with preference given to candidates who have a Masters degree.
