Program Manager for the Behavioral Health Workforce Education & Training HRSA Grant
within the Western MT AHEC. The BHWET grant is a joint project between **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and Montana State University which seeks to place teams of graduate students in their final years in clinical rotations in rural primary care settings. The emphasis is to connect students with underserved populations who have little access to behavioral health services, while simultaneously training students in youth and adolescent behavioral health.
This position requires a high degree of initiative, along with strong and creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team. The BHWET Grant and Behavioral Health Training Program Manager will also need to work extremely well with health professions faculty, healthcare professionals, and hospital & school administration to strengthen internal and external community engagement as well as academic enrichment in integrated behavioral health.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a record in maintaining and monitoring activities to ensure the grant project timeline is on track, including: student applications, onboarding, training, grant reports, student meetings, events, etc. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and facilitate communication between faculty, students and providers/employers regarding the development of behavioral health services and trainings at hospitals, clinics, and schools in the western region of the state.
Other responsibilities for the BHWET Grant and Behavioral Health Training Program Manager include, but are not limited to: develop and lead weekly & monthly meetings, coordinate annual trainings and site visits, tracking student requirements, assist with federal reporting, assist program evaluator, and serve as the central contact for all program participants.

Position Details:
Position is part-time, 0.50 FTE, Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package
including insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, and wellness program
Hourly position at $24.038 - $26.442/hr commensurate with qualifications, and overtime-eligible
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with managing projects
Experience with grants and/or other extramural funding
Experience with speaking to groups
Experience with managing groups of people
Strong organization, interpersonal, and planning skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong project monitoring and implementation skills
Ability to work in a team
Ability to manage projects and people
Ability to work with and manage different computer programs and databases
Ability to prioritize and self-direct work flow
Skills in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software
Skills to collaborate with community and employer partners
Experience developing project timelines
Experience managing various computer programs and databases

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Master’s degree
Experience with Montana’s behavioral health climate and educational offerings
Experience with HRSA federal reporting guidelines
