The Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee is seeking a Student Engagement Administrator (Administrative Specialist II) in the Office of Student Engagement and Success.

The Office of Student Engagement and Success (SES) contributes to the development of a vibrant, student engagement and success center, focused on enabling students in the Haslam College of Business (HCB) to achieve higher value-added educational outcomes, employment, career progression opportunities, and to develop their leadership potential and capabilities. The unit builds on existing programs both on and off campus to create a portfolio of curricular and co-curricular activities that will assist students in developing the skills and experience necessary to successfully enter the workforce. The University of Tennessee-Knoxville and the HCB is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.

The Student Engagement Administrative Associate position in the HCB is a full-time position that provides administrative support to the SES, a unit that houses HCB Student Engagement, International Programs & Study Abroad, Professional & Career Development, and Technology-Enhanced Education.  In addition to administrative support for the unit, the position would be responsible for day-to-day office operations and the front desk/reception responsibilities.  This position requires someone committed to finding efficient, positive ways to handle the demands of a multi-purpose office, to identify what tasks take priority and develop strong management skills, and maintain open and positive communication with members of the department and other areas of the college and university as well as the general public.

','!*!Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and work experience in a related and professional field. Additional qualifications include:


Excellent organizational and communication skills, knowledge of UT policy and procedure, and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong computer ability with knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Banner, Grades First, Canvas, Internet Explorer/Safari, Iris. 
Ability to multi-task and prioritize. 
Flexibility.


 

Desired Qualifications:

Experience managing a front office, purchasing/procurement, reception duties, and answering the telephones is desired. Experience working in an environment similar to an undergraduate business advising office or an international office is preferred.  Familiarity with an undergraduate business curriculum.
