General Description of Position:
Provide leadership for the management and oversight of all aspects of registration and the student academic records system. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of new systems and enhancements of existing systems such as voice response and web-based services regarding registration.
Major Responsibilities:
Customer Service

Go beyond the easiest or surface answer for faculty and staff and get to the root of the cause of the problem, question or issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible.
Leadership / Planning
Provide leadership and guidance for all registration and student records tasks and issues
Assist the college administration by compiling and analyzing student information.
Ensure academic records are accurate and complete
Develop a tracking system to manage the functional and technical aspects of degree certification
Understand and administer the FERPA regulations in accordance with the law.
Ensure the security of academic data
Provide recommendations/decisions that may affect activities, programs, groups and/or college operations
Supervision / Management
Coordinate the registration function for in-person, on-line and telephone registration.
Manage student registration, drop/add process, withdrawal process, transcript evaluation, grade reporting and other functions associated with registration and student records. * Manage a system for the evaluation and processing of transfer of credit, articulation, and equivalency requests
Provide training and assistance, as needed on the Student Information System and Banner
Organize resources and initiate actions within established guidelines to achieve departmental objectives consistent with strategic goals
Student Support
Monitor students' academic standards of progress.
Certify student enrollment.
Provide oversight and direct service to correcting Banner issues and resulting errors on student records.
Technical Support
Manage the technical aspects of registration, e.g., security, enrollment controls, prerequisite screening, repeat rules.
Oversee production of ad hoc reports primarily for the Registrar, Financial Aid and Bursar's Office.
Oversee admissions processing
Respond to internal/external request of report processes and clarification of data provided.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferably in business, public administration, or data management information systems.
Five years of relevant experience, including at least three years of direct leadership experience in registration and/or records.
