The
Bitterroot College
invites applications for a
Temporary Community Education Director
to join their team. The Bitterroot College Community Education Director oversees all aspects of Bitterroot College non-college credit personal enrichment programming, as well as administering the Bitterroot FabLab. This position works under the direction of the Bitterroot College Director. The person assigned to this position recruits, hires, schedules, and evaluates all Bitterroot College personal enrichment instructors. Personal enrichment instructors are part-time, temporary positions and vary in number from 30 to 40 per term. The Community Education Director position is part-time, 0.6 FTE, 8 am - 5 pm (3 days/week or 24 hrs/week), and may require some evening or weekend hours.
Key responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to:
Identifying personal enrichment courses and instructors
Developing and implementing a fall, spring, and summer personal enrichment programming schedule
Overseeing the production and distribution of a fall, spring, and summer community education course catalog
Uploading course/class scheduling data, taking and tracking registration payments, and managing enrollments via the Bitterroot College’s non-college credit enrollment management system (ASAP)
Hiring, managing, and evaluating all personal enrichment instructors (about 30 per term)
Ongoing evaluation and updating of offerings to ensure programming is responding to community interests and needs
Managing and growing FabLab membership
This position requires incumbent to develop a working knowledge of ASAP enrollment management database and UApprove for instructor hiring upon completion of training.

Ability to work periodic weekend or evening hours
Preferred Qualifications
Experience organizing programs and/or educational experiences
Minimum of two (2) years management/supervisory experience
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (education, communication, business) or equivalent experience
Experience with adult students
Experience with continuing education program administration
