The Diagnostic Radiography programmes, part of the Peninsula Medical School, works in close partnership with South West region hospitals, and the wider UK, as well as with a variety of community-based and private clinical partners. Our programmes provide our students with all the skills, knowledge, and support they need to become outstanding future Diagnostic Radiographers You will provide academic support for the new BSc Diagnostic Radiography programmes (including clinical placements) delivered by the Peninsula Medical School (PMS) and our clinical partners. Ensuring a high-quality student learning experience, you will work in close conjunction with colleagues in the medical school and NHS /Independent sector in development and delivery of teaching and learning across the Radiography programme. From September 2022, the diagnostic radiography portfolio expands to include an apprenticeship and a Masters programme you may be involved in the delivery of these. The University of Plymouth has a strong interdisciplinary research ethos which is supported by our three strategic Research Institutes: the Marine Institute, the Sustainable Earth Institute, and the Plymouth Institute of Health and Care Research. As a member of our academic community, you’ll be expected to contribute to our recognised research strengths. Working holistically across the University, you will be challenged to innovate, collaborate and deliver impactful research contributions as part of a systems thinking approach to addressing today’s global challenges. You will be a HCPC registered radiographer who may be in clinical practice, working with students, and would like to now be part of the academic team delivering all aspects of the Diagnostic Radiography programme. You will have extensive post-graduate experience in your selected modality and will have studied at Level 7. In particular we are seeking post graduate experience in Ultrasound, MRI, Mammography or Advanced Specialised procedures and welcome applicants who may wish to continue with their clinical role whilst pursuing their academic role in a part-time capacity.
