Harborview Medical Centers (HMC) Oral Maxillofacial Clinic/Shared Services has an outstanding opportunity for a 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3).
Harborviews Oral Maxillofacial Clinic
is a shared services area including epilepsy, Oral Maxillofacial surgery, opthamology, and ENT/Oto. The Assistant Manager performs specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Business Operations Supervisor, Clinic Practice Manager and Clinic Medical Director. Provides leadership for clinic and divisional activities that promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication and continued professional development for self and others. Serves as a role model and provides guidance to other staff including review and evaluation of performance.
Under general supervision, the professional nurse at the RN III level utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) to prescribe, prioritize, delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients/families. Makes independent judgments/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care.
SCHEDULE:
100% FTE, (40 Hours per week), Day shift, (Monday thru Friday, with weekend and holidays off)
LOCATION:
Harborview Medical Center Campus - Seattle, First Hill
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
At least two years of professional nursing work experience.
Experience working with diverse patient populations including the homeless and underserved.
DESIRED:
Nursing leadership.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
Washington State RN license required by start date.
