ANTICIPATED KIDS WEST TEMPORARY SUMMER LEAD TEACHER

Temporary position, May 16-August 12, 2021. Kids West is open from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Summer Lead Teacher positions will be scheduled 7.5 hours between 8:00-5:00, Monday through Friday. Must be at least 18. Staff provide a positive, supportive, consistent and safe environment for the children. Must attend staff trainings and complete required online staff development trainings before summer Kids West starts. A current physical with a TB test is also required before being able to work. Other duties include planning and leading activities for children in your classroom, supervising the other staff in your classroom, taking children on field trips, always being safety conscious, preparing breakfast and snack, cleaning responsibilities such as washing tables, sweeping floors, taking out trash, etc. Must be prompt and dependable. Good communication skills are required as well as the ability to speak with parents, children and other staff members on a regular basis. Need to be able to follow safety rules and regulations and document any injuries or behavior concerns. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic people with creative ideas who are able to be active and mobile. Education: studying elementary education or recreation preferred; high school graduate required. At least one year working with children desired. Skilled in planning activities for children,leading groups of children, supervising staff.
