Preference will be given to those who have expertise in teaching Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Research u0026amp; Program Evaluation, Couple and Family Counseling, Assessment and Appraisal, and/or career counseling. Doctoral Candidates will be considered with the condition of degree completion within the first year of appointment.u003c/spanu003eu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003cpu003eu003cspanu003eThis position is a 12-month position that is designed to provide support of the online CMHC teaching modality as well as the ground program which is based in Chicago. It requires the teaching of online, residency week, evening and/or weekend classes, and/or on-ground courses. Candidates are also expected to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and professional staff.u003c/spanu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003ePRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eEssential Duties u0026amp; Responsibilities:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cspanu003eDuties include teaching, advising, and mentoring students, participation in institutional and departmental committees, admission efforts, advising/ mentoring students, as well as the support of faculty governance, department, and institutional initiatives.u0026nbsp;u003c/spanu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cspanu003eu0026nbsp;u003c/spanu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eu003cemu003eTeaching:u003cbr /u003eu003c/emu003eu003c/strongu003eFaculty members are expected to teach; develop syllabi and teaching materials related to courses taught; and collaborate with department faculty on curriculum and program policies.
