The Peninsula Medical School is inviting applications for a Lecturer in Assessment and Clinical Education, to join the Faculty of Health, to support various programmes. You will work in conjunction with academic and research colleagues across designated areas for the clinical education programmes in the School. You will contribute to the education of students and focus on scholarship activities supporting the development, embedding and evaluation of innovations in assessment. You will work with members of the assessment and psychometric teams as well as the Collaboration for Medical Education Research and Assessment (CAMERA), to enhance the assessment processes for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. CAMERA is one of the leading education research groups in the UK and has been awarded almost £2 million in external funding over the last 4 years for projects related to improving the capability and sustainability of the healthcare workforce. You will be a member of the School’s Quality Excellence Unit and contribute to the quality of provision of and the students’ experience of assessments across sites. One of the main priorities for the Peninsula Medical School is to deliver excellence in clinical education. As a core member of the academic team you will contribute to a range of educational activities, including teaching and student support e.g. Academic Tutoring, and will contribute to funding bids and research activity in CAMERA or other areas of research within the School.
