The School of Public Affairs in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University is seeking to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse pool of part-time, non-tenure track Faculty Associates to teach graduate-level courses in our Program Evaluation and Data Analytics MS program. We seek to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse pool of applicants who will deliver online lectures, administer assignments and exams, evaluate and grade student work, and hold virtual office hours to assist students. All courses require some knowledge of R for lectures and labs. Course descriptions are available on the website ****Faculty Associate positions are hired on a one-semester basis, renewable contract with loads that do not exceed .40 FTE (equivalent to two 3-credit classes per semester). The position is a non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure eligibility. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate(s) will teach in-person or online courses, prepare course materials, evaluate student work, and assist students.
Required Qualifications:
Terminal degree OR a Master’s degree plus five years of professional experience in data analytics, public policy, evaluation, research, education, or evidence-based management roles.
Experience with R or a related language (Python, SAS, Stata, etc.).
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency with GitHub and Markdown.
Demonstrated evidence of higher education and/or online teaching experience.
Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success as well as working with broadly diverse student populations.
Evidence of collaboration skills.
Experience with technology/course management systems.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
