Be part of the continued transformation of the University of Plymouth Faculty of Health as it continues a 2 year journey coming together as a unitary Faculty, delivering the broadest range of health and social care professional education in the UK, with 4,500 professionals in training at any time across 60 programmes in six schools. The role is key to leading the change mindset required to develop administrative processes that enhance our student, staff and stakeholder experiences. With the University embarking on a student record system replacement project, the timing offers immediate opportunities to align and develop Faculty student administrative systems through recomendations for process improvement anticipated to improve effectiveness and deliver efficiencies in support of the Faculty’s shared purpose to improve the health of the populations we serve. Under the management of the Faculty Business Manager and working as a member of the Faculty Professional Services Senior Management Team, the Faculty Registrar is responsible for strategically leading, managing and crucially developing the delivery of the academic and student administrative functions within the faculty, influencing the strategic direction of the Faculty and the wider University’s agenda. The Faculty Registrar is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day academic and student administration of the Faculty and in particular responsible for quality and student administration systems and processes. You will contribute to policy formulation at faculty and university level. You will lead specific strategic and operational developments at a Faculty level and will collaborate with other University managers in the formulation and development of systems and regulations, the student record replacement project being a prime example. The right candidate brings innovation and creativity with excellent leaderships and motivational skills, honed through experience of leading teams and delivering change through others, being well-informed as to the development of supporting student administrative infrastructure within higher/further education institutions. You will be transforming the services within the Faculty whilst contributing to University level change, demonstrating excellence as a team player, and an ability to problem solve and plan work at the operational and strategic level. Through the establishment of relationships and networks you will quickly facilitate cross-functional decisions with impact across the University, providing guidance and training on academic and student administrative activities and associated policies and procedures.
