Are you an aspiring academic with an interest in making a difference to the teaching and learning of future graduates, whilst also developing your own doctoral level skills and contributing to our research profile? This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a progressive team of interprofessional researchers and educators who contribute to teaching, learning and research relating to physiotherapy and rehabilitation practice. The posts sit within the physiotherapy team in the School of Health Professions, however we welcome applications from colleagues from other disciplines with expertise which will complement our existing team, such as physiotherapists, psychologists or other allied health professions. You will assist in the delivery of health and care professions education to both undergraduate and post graduate learners for 0.5 of the time (e.g running workshops, seminars and skills lab sessions, and assisting in the preparation of teaching materials). The research element will be scheduled for the other 0.5 and will be registered with, and supervised by, academic colleagues from the University of Plymouth. You will: have expertise and experience in physiotherapy and/ or psychology/ related health profession and an interest in developing your research profile at doctoral level alongside a teaching role as part of the academic team. already hold a Masters or post graduate award in a relevant subject or an Honours award with a BSc at a 2:1 or 1st class level. have an active interest in developing a teaching role. be a team player who wants to work as part of an experienced and dedicated group of colleagues be able to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to work under pressure on a major academic study alongside a teaching workload. Research Project Information: The project will be developed collaboratively with service users and stakeholders, which is a strength of our existing work. The research focus will be oriented towards clinical research. The focus could vary according to your clinical interest/previous post-graduate studies or research projects, however, it should complement our existing programme of research which is sited within the Peninsula Institute of Health Research (PIHR) at the University of Plymouth.
