This position is extremely important for enrollment management and the community's image of the college, particularly in relation to public school constituencies.
Assists with the development and implementation of outreach strategies for targeted populations and programs.
Provides pre-enrollment admissions information to prospective students with special emphasis on middle school and high school students.
Assists with the coordination of high school enrollment programs including Freshman Focus, James W. Rouse Scholars, STEM Scholars, Silas Craft Collegians and Early Entrance admissions processes including information sessions, applicant tracking, communications management, and all processes involved in outreach and admissions of these programs.
Represents the college at most outreach programs and events such as college, community, business, and career fairs.
Provides admission services for all prospective students with a special focus on the assisting students through the admission process to enrollment.
Responds to all forms of inquiries regarding the college's programs and services for students, parents, public and private school personnel, businesses, agencies, organizations, and others.
Coordinates special programs, open houses, events, tours, information sessions, and other activities.
Assists with the development and revision of major outreach publications and online services for the secondary school population and with the development and maintenance of the office's web site, particularly as it relates to middle and high school students.
Interprets college policies and procedures for prospective and currently enrolled students.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in education, social science, or related field required and/or student services experience required.
Excellent oral (including public speaking), writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
Experience with high school students and special populations strongly preferred.
Computer proficiency required; knowledge and experience with MS Office, Customer Relations Management System (CRM) system, digital imaging software and student information system strongly preferred.
Thorough knowledge of all college policies and state laws related to credit for prior learning and experience, general education requirements and transfer.
Knowledge of federal and state laws and college policies regarding the enrollment of international citizens.
