SUPERVISOR-RESPIRATORY THERAPY, Full Time','Full-time','Professional Clinical/Allied Health','630am-5pm','630am-5pm','80','80','Every Other','Every Other','NEBRASKA-OMAHA-LAKESIDE','','Team Lead - Respiratory Therapy/Pulmonary/AP contributes to the CHI Health vision and mission by leading the day-to-day patient care activities of Respiratory Therapy Services in performing and evaluating therapy services. TEAM LEAD ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations. 2. Assigns day-to-day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members. 3. Allocates and directs staffing needs to meet patient, unit/department and organizational needs and collaborates with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met. FUNCTIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Assists in developing departmental action plans and makes recommendations to the Operations Director for training and staff development. Monitors productivity to assure maximum staff utilization at minimum costs. 2. Provide direct patient care considering the patient's needs, which promotes a positive quality of work environment in the provision of quality patient care. 3. Evaluates patient's response to therapy and assists staff in performing same. Communicates to hospital staff and physicians, as appropriate, the outcome of evaluations. Recommends appropriate actions to assure the provision of optimal patient care. 4. Provides technical guidance and skill development to assigned staff in all procedures considering the patient's age, cognitive/physical abilities and/or developmental needs, as necessary, in order to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care. 5. Participates in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures based on patient needs. Assists Operations Director with quality assurance programs for the department and makes recommendations as needed.','Experience Preferred: Three years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist- Education/Licensure Required: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy. Registered as a Respiratory Therapist. (any equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered).
