Description:
King University is accepting applications for the position of Student Success Specialist for traditional students. This position supports the mission of King University by serving as an advisor and mentor in an effort to enhance students’ academic success and increase institutional retention and completion rates.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills; technological proficiency, to include Microsoft Office as well as familiarity with texting and social media; and the ability to work independently and handle a complex and varied caseload.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education setting.

Responsibilities:
The Student Success Specialist will work with students to encourage achievement, monitor academic success, increase motivation, and assess student’s ability to persist to the next semester/academic year; foster conversation on such topics as study habits, course registration, major selection, and campus involvement; and will direct students to appropriate university resources to help ensure their success. This is an hourly, entry-level position with occasional weekend or evening work expected.
