This is a postdoctoral role supporting the wide variety of projects undertaken in the Centre for Genomic Research (CGR). The CGR is a large genome facility and also incorporates a UK national capability in the NERC Environmental Omics Facility. You will form part of a multi-disciplinary team, comprising academics, postdoctoral fellows and technical staff that is focused on delivering high-quality data and analyses to collaborating scientists. We are looking for a full stack developer who has a good eye for design and detail, and experience in tackling user interface and workflow challenges, especially those associated with big data. The successful candidate will work within the bioinformatics team at the CGR and lead on developing tools for storing, collating and visualising data, both for internal use (such as sequencing QC reporting and project tracking) and external collaborators (such as interactive project reports and tools for allowing researchers to better explore and interrogate their datasets). Experience with genomics, bioinformatics and life sciences is strongly preferred, but not essential.
The post is available immediately until 31
