Primary Function:  Support all technical and audio/visual needs for assemblies, major school events and other events/meetings. Assist the Technical Director with major performing arts productions. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Performing Arts and coordinates with the Director of Information Services.  Qualifications: Experience operating and troubleshooting audio visual equipment Experience with theatre lighting and sound equipment Strong organization and communication skills Duties/responsibilities Oversees all technical and audio/visual needs for assemblies, meetings and other gatherings Assist, if needed, with events in the theatre that occur outside of major theatre productions Assist Theatre Technical Director in technical operations of the theatre, including lighting, sound, and logistics Work with students to help run assemblies Assist with tech calls on Saturdays and evenings during tech week; assist with strike after close of shows and assure the stage is bare and ready for next production Train faculty and staff on use of audio/visual equipment and provide written instructions as needed. Coordinate with the Technology Department on design and installation of new systems and/or enhancements/repairs to existing audio/visual equipment. Teach a three week minimester in January Other Responsibilities: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with all colleagues, including the performing arts faculty, dean of students, technology department, and members of the community that frequently hold events.
