ANTICIPATED KIDS WEST TEMPORARY SUMMER ASSISTANT TEACHER

Profile

7.5 hours/day. Kids West is open from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Summer Assistant Teacher positions will be between 8:00-5:00, Monday through Friday. Must be at least 18. Staff provide a positive, supportive, consistent and safe environment for the children. Must attend staff trainings and complete required online staff development trainings before summer Kids West starts. A current physical with a TB test is also required. Other duties include assisting in planning and leading activities for children in your classroom, assisting in supervising the other staff in your classroom, taking children on field trips, always being safety conscious, preparing breakfast and snack, cleaning responsibilities such as washing tables, sweeping floors, taking out trash, etc. Must be prompt and dependable. Good communication skills are required as well as the ability to speak with parents, children and other staff members on a regular basis. Need to be able to follow safety rules and regulations and document any injuries or behavior concerns. May be asked to take over leadership of classroom in the absence of the Lead Teacher. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic people with creative ideas who are able to be active and mobile.
