This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join Europe’s most successful fundraising team in higher education. We are seeking to appoint a Head of Development – Legacies. This is a new and specialist role.
Our aim is to continue to set the standard for university fundraising in Europe. Having recently completed the £3 billion Oxford Thinking Campaign, fundraising continues to thrive at Oxford. We are currently in the planning stages for our next campaign, so this could not be a more exciting time to join us.
Our legacy programme is set to expand with the creation of this role. The post holder will develop the legacy fundraising and marketing strategy with the aim to reach new audiences and generate significant levels of income. This role requires a thorough understanding of legacy fundraising and the legacy market, including fundraising trends, best practice, the regulatory framework and legacy estate management.
This will be a senior role, reporting to the Director of Development – Pan University. The role will line manage a Senior Legacies Executive and we are hoping to see further expansion of the team in the future.
To be considered for this role you will need to have experience of securing 6/7 figure legacy gifts, working at a senior level working on strategy and team leadership, and outstanding interpersonal skills.
