Gathering and analyzing information about grantors and
donor prospects, maintains an accessible record of such information, and
shares the information with the development staff in a format that is
useful to them in achieving their fundraising goals and objectives.
Utilizes WealthEngine prospect generator to Research within community market area
conditions in local, regional or national areas to determine factors that
would influence potential new donor prospects and funding sources to
support new or on-going activities of member hospitals.
Establishes research methodology and designs format
for data gathering, such as for profiling individual prospective donors
and for studying population groups or prospective donor pools.
Examines and analyzes statistical data to forecast
future marketing trends in healthcare development.
Evaluates data and makes recommendations based on
findings. Prepares reports and
graphic illustrations of findings.
Updates Raisers Edge from WealthEngine and other
resources specific to research activities.
ResponsibilitiesEnsures that all research activity and processes
adhere to the highest ethical standards.Conducts accurate, appropriate and timely
research to identify and qualify prospective individual, corporate and
foundation donors for wealth potential, linkages and philanthropic motivation.Synthesizes
research to convey relevant, significant and key points.Prepares
clear and concise summaries and profiles that include biographic, wealth, institutional linkages and
philanthropic information from research findings with analysis and syntheses of
financial capabilities.Gathers
and interprets facts learned by development officers during their calls.Provides
updates to the Raiser’s Edge database so that it can be an accurate source of information for all
foundations.Notifies
appropriate development staff when market research information is available that could
significantly impact their relationship with a donor or prospect.Participates
in prospect review meetings with development staff and provides research support and
contributes to cultivation and strategy discussions.Monitors
print and electronic publications for strategic information and grant prospect information and sends
alerts and notices to development staff.

Degree and/or equivalent work experience required.Apara

Minimum 2-3
years of overall related work experience.Minimum one (1)
