Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidiciplinary team within student wellbeing services at the University of Plymouth. Student Wellbeing Services provide a range of brief targeted support services enabling students to succeed academically. You will be involved in carry out 1:1 assessments and advice, delivering projects, supporting a busy triage and drop in service and contributing to the development of the student wellbeing department. You will have an important role in working alongside the student union to devise wellbeing initiatives. You will: hold relevant experience of providing wellbeing and mental health advice to young adults who may be experiencing common mental health difficulties or distress. need to demonstrate experience of providing wellbeing and mental health support within a demanding environment such as HE/FE, NHS, Social Work or voluntary sector. have experience of safety planning and de-escalating risk for students who may be at risk of harm to self or others. have experience of multidiciplinary working, and strong communication skills with a wide audience. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term bais for a period of 2 years due to business demand. Flexible working options including job share will be considered.
