! This position will move, clean equipment, handle supplies, and potentially operate vehicles within CDS facilities as well as assist other personnel as needed.

Campus Dining Services
exists to provide 3.3 million meals per year for the students, staff, faculty, and guests of the university. We are comprised of Residential Dining Halls, Catering and Retail outlets which operate year-round. Campus Dining leads the industry with outstanding quality food and exceptional dining experiences. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Hood Cleaning
Maintain hood canopy and grease wells of all hoods to ensure that hoods are free from grease build up and are cleaned and shined.
Wash and replace filters using a 7-foot ladder for retrieval. This requires staff member to repeatedly lift, bend, stoop, while carrying filters that weigh over 5 lbs.
Work with restaurant leads to schedule convenient times to perform work.
Frequently be in situations that involves extreme heat in a confined area while maneuvering equipment weighing 5-35 lbs overhead while standing on a ladder.
General Cleaning, Recycling
Perform routine cleaning of hard floors and carpeted surfaces including sweeping, moping, and vacuuming floors. Uses various cleaning chemicals as appropriate.
Assist with cleaning and maintenance of grounds and rearrange outdoor furniture as needed for special events.
Perform high level dusting on light fixtures and vents, deep cleaning of food transport containers, and cleaning of furniture fixtures and equipment.
Remove and discard of recyclables in appropriate containers.
Other
Assist other facilities as needed and perform other tasks as delegated by immediate supervisor.
Participate in Campus Dining Services special events as requested.
Operate company vehicle to deliver goods to department facilities as requested.
What You Should Know
All University of Colorado Boulder employees are required to follow the campus COVID-19 vaccine requirement
. New employees must provide proof of vaccination or receive a medical or religious exemption within 30 days of employment.
This is an in-person position.
This position's schedule is expected to be: Tuesday - Saturday, 12:30 pm - 9:30 pm.
What We Can Offer
The annual salary for this position is $32,136 to $34,039.

What We Require
6 months general labor and/or cleaning experience.
Must have a valid Colorado driver's license.
Successful completion of University of Colorado's Safety Training Program within 90 days of employment to operate vehicles essential to the position.
Ability to obtain Servsafe certification or certificate appropriate to position level within 6 months of hire. Must possess appropriate Servsafe certification or certificate appropriate to position level for the duration of employment with CDS.
What You Will Need
Mechanical proficiency and a willingness to learn.
Knowledge of institutional food service operations.
The ability to perform physical work including hauling, lifting, moving and organizing.

Essential Services
This position is designated essential services. The incumbent is required to respond to requests for work during campus emergencies (snow, wind, rain, flood and any other natural or man-made event) and report to work for regularly assigned shifts during emergency campus closures.
