If you have experience in supporting the development of funding applications, then this role could be for you. The University’s Research and Innovation Directorate (R&I) plays a crucial role in securing funding for research across a diverse range of disciplines, from the creative arts to medicine. We work closely with academic colleagues in the creation of impactful relationships between them and external organisations. With an ambitious University strategy around research excellence, and knowledge exchange, this role is central to the University’s mission and represents a stimulating opportunity to be part of a dynamic and motivated team, sitting at the heart of the University. Reporting to the Senior Funding Manager: Consulting and Contract Research, you will assist academics with consultancy, commercial research and other funded programmes of work. You will support all aspects of project development and contracting, including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with academic colleagues and external clients and ensuring the successful delivery of funded projects. The role requires a creative, proactive approach to problem solving. You must be able to use your experience to help realise the potential of opportunities presented from a variety of funding sources. This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis. Flexible working options, including job share, may be considered.
