We are recruiting a Research Project Manager to contribute to the excellent applied research within CENTRIC
as leading Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence and Organised Crime Research. The position is dedicated to the recently funded UKRI project “3PO - Protecting public-facing professionals and their dependents online. 3PO is an ambitious, multi-disciplinary project lead by CENTRIC and conducted with researchers from UCL, Oxford, Cambridge and Napier University.
Public-facing professions perform their work in the public eye (e.g., medical personnel, journalists, police officers, politicians) and are increasingly confronted with online aggression, harassment and threats with negative effects to their professional standing, wellbeing and ability to participate in the digital sphere. 3PO will develop technological and non-technological solutions to protect public-facing professionals and their families from online harm to themselves and their families. 3PO as a project focuses on the police as an example of a highly visible public-facing profession and works closely with several UK police forces.
Working with the Principal Investigator of 3PO and the CENTRIC Technical Lead you will provide research and project management, supporting the coordination of research and project activities inside CENTRIC as well as with outside partners, including quality assurance and financial reporting.
You’ll have an honours degree in a scientific or engineering field. Experience of project coordination and excellent organisation skills are essential to this role.
