The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., School of Arts is seeking to appoint an inspirational Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Architecture.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual with a future-focused approach and ambition to help us continue to establish a successful new department of Architecture within the Architecture, Construction and Environment Subject group.
You will be able to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of contemporary industry practice in Architecture, as well as the requirements of the professional bodies.
The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. has excellent links with industry and in particular local and regional built environment businesses, including Architects and the successful applicant will continue to develop liaison with local, regional and international businesses and partners to benefit the students, course, subject area, school and the university. Some UK and International travel for university business may be required.
Candidates for this role, will ideally have experience of developing and contributing to a Part 2 course programme. The role will also involve curriculum development of MArch and apprenticeship programmes.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of teaching Architecture and will contribute to design teaching, including a leading role in developing architectural history and contextual studies, as well as studio specific modules as necessary. Candidates will demonstrate skills in team work, module development and organisation; personal tutor and pastoral care; innovative teaching and curriculum enhancement is essential.
Candidates will be a trained architect, ideally with experience of working in practice.
You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to sustainability, digital technologies and contemporary pedagogical approaches and an ability to work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be student-focussed and committed to providing excellence in architectural education.
