The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Global Medical Education team is responsible for the training and education to our health care partners and commercial field force. Critical to the success of this mission is the leverage of state-of-the-art learning technologies and methodologies to deliver interactive, engaging, and innovative digital education and simulation solutions. Our world class digital learning management system and simulation technology provide best-in-class products to support these goals.
Through this work, this leader will strive to ensure our solutions are innovative, consistent, scalable, and effectively deployed around the globe while maintaining the highest quality. The integration of our digital solutions with business systems (Salesforce, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, CVENT, etc) allows us to gain insights through data analytics visualization and deliver to field and global partners. This also helps to exhibit the large impact of our education and training programs.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader who will drive the strategic direction, investments, and innovative answers to meet the above vision. This person is accountable for leading the team responsible for our learning technology strategy, digital education systems, simulators (both virtual and physical), VR/AR/XR strategy, digital analytics and integrations. They will work with their business, global, and enterprise partners to define, influence, measure, and align investments and resources to maintain, accelerate, and expand these solutions across the globe.
**A Day in the Life:**
**Team Leadership and Strategy**
Participates on and collaborates with senior medical education staff in leading the global med ed organization
Creates the learning technologies support and innovation strategy and leads the team towards targeted goals
Leads the digital education systems team, learning technologies, data analytic program, simulation team, and AR/VR/XR strategy
Defines and measures critical success metrics associated with the effectiveness and efficiency of training solutions to drive ever increasing value and impact of these solutions
Secures investment and resources in service of the aforementioned strategy
Drives the team to evaluate, learn, pilot and evaluate new learning technologies and approaches for potential leverage throughout the organization
Provides leadership and management direction of the team to ensure the hiring, engagement, and development of a world class team of leaders and technical experts.
**Collaboration and Other Responsibilities**
Act as the Cardiovascular business sponsor of the Medtronic Academy/FFTI programs and maintain relationships with CV education and marketing leaders who co-fund the solution. Ensure that the digital education system team is upholding and reporting on the CV support SLA.
Partner with the EMEA MEDLI and Americas NS/MS digital education to govern a central digital systems support model. Work with the leaders to fund and evolve the solution to meet global and business needs.
Collaborates with peer organizations such as the digital Medtronic Innovation Center, corporate XR team, remote solutions team, etc. to learn best practices and new opportunities for technology solutions that would benefit the business.
Develops long term strategic relationships and alliances with key internal and external stakeholders
Communicates and conducts briefings with senior or executive leadership regarding ongoing operations and strategic initiatives
Influences across functions and businesses to negotiate and gain cooperation on operational issues and internal divergent objectives
Works with business and functional partners to ensure solutions meet the needs of all stakeholders
Creates and reports on sustainability efforts through increased penetration of digital and other solutions
Creates actionable insights through solution integration and data analytics. Ensures that the team is enabling the CV operating units and global teams to gain access to and effectively analyze digital education metrics.
Ensures the tracking and management of tools and equipment, such as simulators, headsets etc. leveraged by both employee and HCPs
Manages cost center and program investments per plan, including capital investments and contracted resources
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
You will need a bachelors degree and 10 years of relevant experience in an education, training, IT, clinical, marketing or technical role with 7 years of managerial experience in the medical device or healthcare industry (8 years with Advanced Degree)
Project planning and project management experience
Experience with management of financial plans, capital projects, and vendors

**Medical device experience with cardiac rhythm technology, products, and services**
**Global and cross-functional experience, management, and leading at scale**
**Experience in educational technologies, LMS, IT, AR/VR/XR solutions**
**Design, development, delivery and evaluation of digital education through learning management systems.**
