All positions are subject to individuals securing enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance. We are seeking a Nursery Manager who is responsible for the daily operations of our setting whilst leading the team to deliver our ambitious plans to become a centre of excellence in the South West. We believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support which enables them to fulfil their potential. Therefore, you will work closely with the Plymouth Institute of Education to lead, develop and instil our curriculum which is designed to develop creative, kind, independent, curious and confident children who are ready to continue their love of learning at school. Role-modelling safeguarding, you will be the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the setting and promote the ethos that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that this duty extends beyond the setting to the child’s homelife and elsewhere. Critical to the ongoing success of our Nursery, is a leader with strong functional knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with the key stakeholders, including, but not limited to, parents, children, the UCSP Board and Management Team, Academics, Local Authority, Childcare Professionals and University colleagues.
