CSUN's Tseng College: Graduate, International, and Midcareer Education (College) provides advanced professional education to undergraduate, graduate, international and midcareer students. With more than $37.7 million in revenue and close to 28,000 total enrollments in 2020-2021, the College is a leading provider of professional degrees, certificates and custom-designed programs. Known for its premier support services, the College employs an administrative staff of more than 70 full-time employees, leading to high graduation rates of 68-89 percent for most programs in 2019-2020, with some, like the Master of Social Work, achieving 96 percent in 2019-2020.
The College is nationally recognized for providing programs with formats, delivery modes and locations that address the needs and constraints facing working professionals and their organizations. Under general supervision and under the direction of a Program Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of assigned programs-both degree and non-degree. The incumbent work includes recruitment, client relations and services, and program, current student and faculty support.
• Proactively engages prospects and students and provides support in collaboration with a program manager, from application through to graduation, for each program and cohort assigned.
• Works with academic faculty to support student retention ensuring that the students are successful and have the requisite support to complete the program is essential to program success.
• Acts as the primary point of contact and support for students in assigned programs and is responsible for student engagement and retention.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field in Sociology, Psychology, Guidance & Counseling, Public Relations, Communications or related field.
• Equivalent to two (2) years of full-time, technical, analytical, or administrative experience, preferably in operations, customer service, or project management.
• Additional experience in job-related field may be substituted for required education, on a year for year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Working knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty.
• Working knowledge of budget management. Ability and specialized skills to: interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures; perform basic research and statistical analysis; analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistics.
• Ability to compile, write and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Proficient in using standard office and financial software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Experience with larger information systems (the University uses PeopleSoft) and other related systems such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, various kinds of shareware, web-based communication tools (such as Moodle); and email is a plus. Experience with use of social media, digital marketing tools, and websites, also preferred.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
• The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver and more.
• Classification / grade: 1038 / 1
• The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3288-$4167, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3288-$6347per month.
• HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
• REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
