Position Summary:
The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Marjorie K. Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies seeks a dynamic, innovative, and engaging leader to serve as the inaugural Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Scholarship, and Strategic Initiatives who will promote excellence in student, faculty, and program outcomes school wide to be hired immediately. This opening is a 12-month, full-time administrative position reporting directly to the Dean.

The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Scholarship, and Strategic Initiatives will work closely with the Dean and the transdisciplinary leadership team in the School and University to support undergraduate and graduate academic programs, facilitate faculty scholarship, and develop partnerships in the School, University, and community to implement strategic initiatives. This includes the new 7,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art Linda Grunin Simulation Learning Lab and Learning Center, a groundbreaking partnership between **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and Monmouth Medical Center that provides hands-on learning in a realistic, high-tech simulation environment.

The Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies has 38 full-time faculty, 14 staff, and close to 1000 students. The School offers undergraduate health studies, health promotion, health and physical education; master's physician assistant; doctoral occupational therapy; undergraduate, master's, and doctoral nursing programs; as well as post-master's and post-baccalaureate certificates and continuing education programs. Our MSN programs have been nationally recognized by U.S. News and World Report, placing them among the best graduate nursing programs in New Jersey. We have also been ranked among the top 100 best nursing schools in New Jersey (#4), in the Mid-Atlantic Region (#40), and private nursing schools nationwide (#99) by Nursing Almanac Schools 2021. Monmouth's graduate program has been named one of the best ACEN and CCNE Accredited MSN-FNP programs for 2021 in the Northeast by GraduateNursingEDU.org. The BSN, MSN, DNP, and post-graduate APRN certificate programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The health and physical education baccalaureate dual major K-12 education endorsement offers core health studies and physical education aligned with both the State of New Jersey certification requirements and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The MS physician assistant program was recently granted 10-year Accreditation-Continued status by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA). The entry-level occupational therapy doctoral degree program has applied for accreditation and has been granted Candidacy Status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). An earned doctorate in nursing, health professions, education, or related discipline.

Current professional New Jersey licensure in a related field of study or eligible to obtain after hire, if appropriate. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and writing skills. Leadership experience in nursing and/or health professions, education, academia, or healthcare.

Demonstrated record of excellence and innovation. Experience with academic program development, implementation, and evaluation. Evidence of interprofessional and community partnerships. Experience mentoring peers, faculty, and/or students.

A record of scholarly achievement in research, publications, and presentations. A record of accomplishment commensurate with appointment as Associate Professor or full Professor with tenure in a department in the Marjorie K. Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies.

Experience with technology and/or computer hardware or software and the ability to learn new technology and software programs quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:
Earned research doctorate (PhD, EdD, or equivalent). Professional certification in field of study.
Leadership and/or administrative experience in advancing strategic initiatives. Track record of successful federal, state, foundation, and/or private grant funding.
Experience with high fidelity simulation, interprofessional education initiatives, and/or experiential learning in clinical, community, and/or internship settings.

Accreditation experience with Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), or other accrediting bodies.
