The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor directly monitors the daily
activities of the certified pharmacy technicians (CPhT).  The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor will
delegate daily workflow and monitor to ensure adequate coverage for the
hospital.  This individual will create
schedules, manage payroll and conduct annual evaluations.  The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor will
assist the Pharmacy Operations Manager and Pharmacy Clinical Manager with CPhT
related issues as assigned.

Essential Functions

Create CPhT schedules
Lead pharmacy
huddles as assigned  Delegate daily work
assignments and monitor for productivityCope with
staffing and workload changesEnsure shift
changes occur smoothlyManage payroll Complete annual
evaluations and bimonthly employee roundingPrimary trainer
of all new CPhT, technician students and volunteersOversight of
maintaining/organizing pharmacy inventoryEducation for
CPhT on new policies, procedures, process improvementsMonitor
completion of monthly unit inspectionsMonitor
completion of pyxis maintenanceMonitor
completion of carousel maintenanceConduct monthly
CPhT meetingsAbility to work
effectively without close supervisionEffective
communication skillsEnforce policies
and procedures in conjunction with corrective actionMaintain
complete and updated personnel files for CPhTEvaluate CPhT
applicants and oversee hiring processCreate and
administer annual CPhT competency examEnsure CPhT are
compliant with all required licensure and certifications

Education
/ Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

Active
Pharmacy Technician Certification with PTCB

·        
Active registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy                     

BLS within 1 year of hire and then continual
certification

            Experience (required
and preferred):

Three years
of experience in a hospital setting                       

Experience in a leadership
