Description:
King University School of Nursing is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in the traditional BSN program. This position will be based on the Bristol campus. The successful candidate will be able to teach courses in a variety of nursing content areas and oversee clinical experiences. Nursing faculty work as a team to ensure student success and provide a supportive student environment. All nursing faculty must be committed to excellent teaching, mentoring students, scholarship, professionalism, and service to the community. This is a full-time, twelve-month contract to begin August 1, 2024. The King University School of Nursing programs are fully approved by the TN Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an MSN from an accredited nursing program; must hold an RN license in TN or compact multistate or be eligible for licensure in TN; have experience in nursing practice; excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in the usage of technology; The candidate must have and be able to articulate a personal faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and support the mission of King University.
Preferred Qualifications:
An earned DNP or PhD; Previous teaching experience in higher education; Supervision of students in clinical settings; Experience with course development; Experience in teaching health assessment and community health nursing at the college level
Responsibilities:
Teach didactic courses and oversee clinical experiences; design/revise courses, as needed; contribute to ongoing course and program evaluation; maintain knowledge of current clinical guidelines and accreditation standards; mentor students; participate on program and university committees
