Hoxworth Blood Center seeks a motivated individual who will assist in the planning, developing, coordinating, and direction of the Donor Services department, training programs. This individual will have excellent interpersonal, oral communication skills, with the ability to present and train groups of various sizes and abilities.
Responsibilities (Other duties will be assigned)
*Coordinate orientation of all new employees to ensure success *Encourage positive attitudes and behaviors towards training and work duties *Conduct initial assessment of new employee performance then develop skills to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures *Assist with the annual written and observational competency assessment for all staff *Provide input to the development and review of training plans and materials *Performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs *Participate in the review and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP) *Assist in development and implementation of a consistent automated collections training program *Coach and mentor staff on medical documentation and phlebotomy techniques to improve work processes *Act as a change agent by encouraging positive attitudes and behaviors towards training and work duties
Minimum Qualifications
*Bachelor’s degree in related field with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate’s degree in related field with three (3) years experience; -OR- five (5) years experience in blood banking or related field
