Position Summary:
Reporting to the collaborative in conflict transformation, this position manages everyday operations by providing administrative and technical expertise. The coordinator will provide a high level of support to internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with college administrative procedures. The coordinator is expected to manage multiple processes for the Director, Project Manager, and Faculty Director.

conflict transformation collaborative is a grant funded, seven-year initiative that will embed the principles and practice of conflict transformation in the full continuum of a liberal arts education, from high school through to graduate school. The program draws on Middlebury's experience and success in building institution-wide, integrated models for replicable action around the country and the world. This position may be offered as a hybrid/remote model.

Essential Functions:
Provide administrative coordination and support for all operations associated with the implementation of the collaborative in conflict transformation

General Responsibilities:
Specifically, the Program Coordinator will: Demonstrate commitment to and support of mission of the development of a conflict transformation initiative.

Specifically, the Program Coordinator will:

Demonstrate commitment to and support of mission of the development of a conflict transformation initiative. Manage public-facing office functions including communication with numerous off-site constituents.

Proactive and effective communication and relationship management with all partners including the project manager, executive director, faculty director as well as direct support others responsible for implementation.

Assist with the budget management using current software programs. Prepare vouchers, journal entries and purchase requisitions. Assist executive director with annual budget reports;

Coordinate ongoing revisions to website and social media.
Assist colleagues with maintaining databases, processing, grants and fellowships, and organizing travel and convenings.

Assist with effective production of annual reports and other communication tools;

Disseminate, and collect progress reports from those implementing the discrete aspects of the project as well as grantees.

Take initiative to review administrative practices to streamline for efficiency and create new practices.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Willingness to collaborate and work independently.
Ability to remain flexible and open to the unpredictable.
Values diverse and inclusive educational environments.

Understanding of computer applications Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive programs, and
Adobe. Knowledge of basic web editing software (e.g. Drupal) or willingness to learn.

Knowledge of using social media in workplace settings or willingness to learn.

Experience:
At least 3 years of related experience required

Physical Demands:
Must be able to carry out computer-based work for long periods of time. Some evening or weekend work required.
