Job/Department Summary:
Under general supervision of the Associate Provost of Academic personnel the Confidential Administrative Support incumbent performs high level duties in the Office of Academic Personnel for the Interim Director of Faculty Labor Relations and the Associate Vice President for Academic Personnel. Incumbent will work both independently and collaboratively providing essential support as a primary contact and liaison for academic departments at the Chico campus in faculty recruitment and H-1B visa processing. Under the direction of the Director of Faculty Labor Relations, the incumbent will communicate regularly with officers and members of the CFA (unit 3) and the UAW (Unit 11) administrative units on campus, administrative units within the CSU System, and the Chancellor's Office to successfully coordinate and facilitate faculty labor relations processes, employment actions, grievances, faculty recruitments, and immigration.
Mandatory Vaccinations:
The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be immunized against COVID-19 or have received a medical or religious exemption. Selected candidates should be prepared to comply with this requirement.
Preferences:
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
Bilingual.
Experience with on-line recruitment software such as PeopleAdmin and PageUp or similar.
Advance data management skills using Excel pivot tables, vlookups, sorting and filtering.
Experience with Cascade Web maintenance.
Required Education and Experience:
This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree or professional training program in areas such as Business Management, Public Administration, Human Services or Resources and one year of directly related work experience, or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Salary and Benefits Information:
$4,058 - $6,922 per month / $48,696 - $83,064 annually (New employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning of the salary range)
This position qualifies for benefits including tuition fee waiver (if eligible).
