The School of Applied Sciences at The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking applications for an Associate or Full Professor to serve as Associate Dean of Faculty and Academic Affairs. This position is a twelve-month appointment open only to current tenured faculty members in the School of Applied Sciences. Applicants must have a Ph.D., J.D., or equivalent. The successful candidate may begin as early as July 1, 2022.
Candidates must demonstrate evidence of administrative experience, research/scholarly achievement, and a record of excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate students. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Applied Sciences, the Associate Dean will assist the dean in leadership and administration of the School. The primary administrative responsibilities of the position will include:
* managing policies, procedures, and records related to faculty development, tenure, promotion, sabbaticals, awards, recognition, and committee memberships
* managing policy and process for curriculum and curriculum development, academic program assessment, revision, and improvement
* maintaining SACSCOC, and professional accreditation standards
* overseeing academic advising, student academic affairs, and assisting with activities related to student persistence and success
* maintaining data, records, and generating reports related faculty and academic affairs
* serving on committees representing the School of Applied Sciences
* serving as a resource person for dean; provides consultation and suggestions on academic, personnel, and business issues
* overseeing creation, implementation and completion of projects and events as assigned
* other duties as assigned by the dean
