King University School of Nursing is accepting applications for a part-time adjunct Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner faculty member. This position will be based in the online MSN PMHNP program. The successful candidate will be able to teach course content specific to the PMHNP concentration and oversee PMHNP clinical experiences. Nursing faculty work as a team to ensure student success and provide a supportive student environment. All adjunct nursing faculty must be committed to excellent teaching and mentoring students. The King University School of Nursing programs are fully approved by the TN Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an MSN from an accredited nursing program; PMHNP Certification required; Unencumbered APRN licensure in TN or eligible; RN licensure in TN or compact multistate or eligible; experience psychiatric- mental health nursing practice; excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency in the usage of technology; The candidate must have and be able to articulate a personal faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and support the mission of King University.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants holding an earned DNP or PhD; Previous teaching experience in higher education in online environment; Supervision of students in clinical settings; Experience with course development; Knowledge of NONPF and CCNE accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Teach didactic courses and/or oversee clinical experiences of students enrolled in the PMHNP concentration.
