General Description of Position:
The part time math tutor position is responsible for conducting tutoring sessions with Ivy Tech students face-to-face and virtually.
Major Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Tutor students with math assignments following the established protocol in the Math and Science Resource Center. Flexible schedule including evening and weekends is preferred.
Tutor upper level math and science including finite/discrete math, calculus through calculus 2 and statistics.
Some virtual tutoring will be required. Candidate must have excellent computer skills and be completely independent in their ability to use Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, Outlook email and calendar, Teams, and Zoom.
Work with faculty when necessary to ensure best possible outcomes for students.
Attend and participate in department meetings.
Training/Professional Development
The candidate will be required to participate in the MSRC professional development throughout the semester. A strong candidate will be committed to continually developing and implementing MSRC Center best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s in Mathematics or related field. Experience tutoring at the college level.
