Description:
King University is seeking a Director of Career Services. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, this full-time, on-campus position plays a vital role in developing the professionalism of our students and alumni, as well as connecting them with potential employers throughout the Tri-Cities region and beyond. This position also serves as the primary liaison between Career Services and the Faculty, and is familiar with academic programs of the university.
Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a university/college setting or in a relevant business environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to comfortably relate to various generational audiences
• Computer skills including the Microsoft suite and adaptability to various career exploration platforms
• A bachelor’s degree Those who have previous experience in a related academic environment, enjoy providing guidance on career selection/growth, and fostering effective networking skills are encouraged to apply. A master’s degree in student personnel services, counseling and guidance, or other relevant discipline is desirable. King is a Christian academic community. Comfort in a faith-based environment and the ability to relate to others with diverse viewpoints and backgrounds are essential to the success of this position.
