Assistant Childcare Teacher

Profile

At Kids Point Learning Center Assistant Teachers are vital in our success and support Lead Teacher(s) and our classrooms in all aspects. They assist in the classroom(s) assigned by supervising children and helping to create a caring and safe environment. The Assistant Teacher will also help to implement curriculum, lesson plans, activities to improve the overall care and development of the children. Positions are available in specific classes with all ages or as a floater helping as needed throughout the center.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and be able to see, hear, and respond tochildrens needs, including reaching high, stooping to the childs level, sitting on the floor and rising from the floor, and standing for long periods of time.
Able to handle, in a positive way, the demands that contact with many children and parents bring every day.
Excellent communication skills to communicate progress and needs of children with the teacher, parents, and other staff as needed.
Within two months have completed: Staff Orientation and Completion of Additional Training
Must maintain required units, certifications, etc., as required by Licensing
Demonstrate an understanding of all current state and local child care regulations
Must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, all essential functions of the job.
