Youth Academic Coach

Profile

Provide one-on-one or small group assistance in academic and life skills to identified Adult Basic Skills students to prepare students for transition into traditional academic classroom settings. Develop and implement individualized tutoring plans, assess and document student progress, and maintain student records.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree, ability to communicate effectively, and ability to maintain student confidentiality required. Preferred qualifications include background and experience with at-risk populations, understanding of or willingness to learn creative intervention strategies that are effective with at-risk youth, and a basic understanding of the role of barriers and trauma in brain development.
