JOB OVERVIEW
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. seeks a driven, committed, organized team player to join its Partnership Development team. As a collaborative member of the team, the Assistant Director will contribute to the implementation of a strategic plan with the goal of increasing new partnerships as well as deepening existing partner relationships in support of graduate students and programs at UC. This position focus on establishing industry partnerships for the graduate co-op program. The successful candidate for this position will have experience in sales and/or business development, with experience and knowledge of research laboratories and higher education is ideal.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Specifically, the position will focus on:

*Cultivate, build, and maintain relationships with organizations across the country in support of UC graduate students and programs. *Manage large employer accounts and implement best practices in terms of partnership development, maintenance, and retention. *Create metrics and utilize tracking tools to report progress towards measurable goals. *Work with faculty to connect students to relevant opportunities. *Develop an in-depth understanding of employment trends and needs of specific industry sectors including research laboratories and government agencies. *Participate in planning and implementation of partnership development events and assist in the development of marketing and promotional materials as needed. *Strategically utilize development/market analysis tools and systems including Sales Force and Burning Glass. *Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders for all partnership outreach efforts. *Supervise Partnership Development support staff. *Requires strong written and oral communications skills, strong presentation skills, and a willingness and ability to make calls/visits to prospective partners. *Must be able to work flexible hours and willing to travel up to 30%
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
*Master's degree with three (3) years of experience; -OR- Bachelor's degree with seven (7) years of experience. Degree must be in a related field. *Experience must be relevant professional experience preferably in sales, business development, recruiting, working with research laboratories or government agencies.
 
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Master's degree. *Experience/knowledge of higher education. *Knowledge of government agencies and research laboratories.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
*Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
