Profile

The World Languages area at Howard Community College is seeking outgoing individuals to be included in a pool to hire World Languages Open Lab Assistants. This pool will be used to hire Assistants as needed through the semester. Assistants will help students with language software use; keep the Lab open, clean, and functioning; help instructors in class preparation; and provide tutoring on a walk-in basis in at least one of the languages offered at HCC (preferably Spanish, French, Arabic, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, American Sign Language, or German).
Requirements:
High school diploma, communicative ability in English, and at least intermediate level of ability in Spanish, French, Arabic, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, American Sign Language, or German.
Some tutoring experience and familiarity with language software preferred
