SUBSTITUTE TEACHER:
Job Goal
: To maintain a safe, orderly environment and high level of student learning when the regular teacher is absent.
Qualifications
: Non-certified subs must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Certified subs must have a bachelor's degree in education with a teaching license. Long Term subs must have an active North Carolina teaching license in the area of the long term assignment.
Salary
: Non-certified - $80/day; Certified - $103/day; Long Term (minimum of 4 weeks) - $3500/month

Additional requirements after
the pre-screening process is complete include a principal interview that we will help you set up, as well as completion of online NHCS Substitute Training and Effective Teacher Training if you do not have a teaching license. Cost for these trainings range from $39-$49 and is the applicant's responsibility.
