Job/Department Summary:
Working under close supervision, the Distributed Learning (DL) Advisor will coordinate/facilitate advising current Bachelor's in Social Work DL students and Master's in Social Work DL students, collaborating with various university student services departments, Regional & Continuing Education (RCE), and Academic Advising, aid in conducting the BSW DL and MSW DL student orientation and recruitment meetings, and implementing School of Social Work, campus, state, and Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditation policies and regulations as they relate to BSW DL Programs and MSW DL programs.
Mandatory Vaccinations:
The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be immunized against COVID-19 or have received a medical or religious exemption. Selected candidates should be prepared to comply with this requirement.
Preferences:
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
Bilingual.
Experience in academic advising, counseling, orientation, teaching, or a related field.
Experience with student retention programs.
Required Education and Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job-related field. Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
One year of full-time equivalent experience in professional Student Services work at the entry trainee level. Equivalent amounts of graduate-level, job-related education may be substituted for the required experience.

Salary and Benefits Information:
$3,036.80 - $4,295.20 per month / $36,441.60 - $51,542.40 annually (New employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning of the salary range)
