The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist committed to an academic career in Gynecology & Obstetrics. The position will hold a rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Established more than 25 years ago, the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division was one of the first specialty units in the country. Today the division provides services at Emory Perinatal Center at Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Perinatal Center at Decatur, and the Grady Regional Perinatal Center, the largest of only six regional high-risk infant care centers in the south. This position would located at the new Emory Perinatal Center at John’s Creek. The Emory Women’s Center at John’s Creek offers a comprehensive array of obstetrics, gynecological and maternity services, with an emphasis on family centered maternity care. This position is for full service MFM including outpatient and inpatient consultations. Duties and Responsibilities: This position will encompass service to the University in areas of patient care, teaching, and research, and committee work appropriate to their professional training and capabilities and their career goals. Responsibilities include providing consultative services for the General obstetricians in the treatment of obstetric and maternal fetal medicine concerns. Faculty members are expected to supervise sonographers assigned to the clinical practice location. Faculty Members are also expected to participate activity in the teaching aspects of the Department. Specifically, this would include: Providing lectures to fellows, residents and medical students as requested. Attending Grand Rounds, M&M Conferences, Journal Club, Division meetings and other Departmental activities. Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have a terminal degree (MD or DO), successfully completed a 4-year ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
