The district serves approximately 730 K-12 students with roughly 62% being members of the 12 Tribes of the Colville Confederated Tribes reservation. The main employer includes the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, National Parks Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Coulee Medical Center. With Lake Roosevelt on its eastern border, and Banks Lake to the west, outdoor recreation is a large part of the community. Boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, and other activities are enjoyed throughout the year.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school and serve as an effective member of a strong administrative team
Assist in designing and implementing a school improvement plan using a collaborative process
Demonstrate high visibility throughout the school day- be visible in the classrooms and readily available to address questions, issues of concern and offer support
Assist the principal with the observations and evaluation of certificated and classified employees
School Liaison/representative for Truancy/Community Engagement Board
Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment by implementing effective and positive methods of student disciple; that are in compliance with state laws and district policies.
Support and implement a positive school climate based on the principles of PBIS Lead and support a school culture where students, parents. classified and certificated staff value all people; people of diverse backgrounds, people of diverse economic situations and people of diverse cultural groups; value each members contribution to the school community
Understand and use technology to enhance teaching and learning, as well as administrative applications : Microsoft Outlook, MS Office, Google Suite and Skyward
Possess and utilize knowledge of best practices in instruction and assessment
Provide Leadership in student management, including the area of student attendance, discipline, and supervision
Be proactive in holding students and staff accountable in following school policies and procedures
Participate in the screening, selection, training and orientation of school staff
Attend IEP meeting and assist with the IEP process as needed to support the Special Education Program
Perform other duties as directed by the Principal
Requirements
Requirements:
Must pass a valid Washington State Background Check
Master's Degree in Educational Administration or related Field
Prior successful teaching experience Previous Administrative or Assistant Principal experience
Documented leadership and management qualities
Willingness and flexibility to be present at a variety of school events and activities throughout the year that include evening and weekends
Must hold a valid Washington State teaching Certificate

Creative problem solver and decision maker
Experience conduction high quality classroom observations, identifies effective teaching practices and understand pedagogy that results in improved student learning

Experience in application of the TPEP model for teacher evaluation-Marzano Model preferred
Previous experience working with minorities is highly desirable. Experience working with Native AMerican youth is preferable
