Are you a Physician Associate passionate about developing the role? Would you like an opportunity to make a real difference to the development and expansion of PAs in the South West and beyond. Working with University of Plymouth and Health Education England as a PA ambassador, you will be placed in key clinical areas in the South West across both primary and secondary care to provide care to patients, support to practitioners, and exemplify the impact a PA can have in clinical areas. You will also hold a lecturer role, and will work with the PA programme team to support curriculum delivery and development, and support clinical placements and assessment. PA ambassador working with HEE to support continued integration of PAs in the South West and expansion and development of the role locally and nationally Promote workforce integration of PAs across the South West, helping to address clinical workforce need Honorary Clinical Lecturer (Physician Associate Studies), supporting curriculum delivery and development Work with the HEI and key NHS stakeholders to promote and support student clinical placements Provide clinical support as a Lead PA in clinical areas across the South West, as defined by the host institution Provide support to PAs and PA students, including career and recruitment advice locally and nationally Be part of a PA ambassador network identifying and promoting opportunities for PAs in the South West and beyond. This post is initially for 1 full-time position, however a part-time position for 2 candidates would be considered. You will be an active and engaged Physician Associate, passionate about supporting and developing the role in the NHS You will work well in teams, but will also be able to work autonomously and manage your time effectively You will be an excellent communicator and have evidence of working effectively with patients, students, and other healthcare practitioners You will have a proven track record of high-quality clinical care and will be registered with the PAMVR You will be enthusiastic and ready for a challenge. This is a varied role, and as a PA Ambassador, you will work in multiple clinical areas across the Peninsula depending on the specific workforce development need. As part of the PA programme team, you will be a valued member of the core staff and will work across both the city centre and Derriford campuses to support students in a variety of teaching environments including clinical skills areas. You will have the opportunity to work with an innovative and friendly team supporting the development of the PA role across the South West.
