Description:
The Finance Department is responsible for providing a range of professional services to the University, including financial management, corporate governance, financial accounting and procurement. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team as an Assistant Management Accountant. Working within a team of finance professionals with the aim of provding exceptional delivery and development of the business support services to the University, this role will support the Management Accountants and Business Partners in the successful achievement of business objectives. Through their activities each team member contributes to a positive student experience, supporting students throughout their journey, from enquiry to alumni, providing a culture that engages students as genuine partners with the University of Plymouth. As a member of the team, you will be supporting budgeting, forecasting, monthly management accounts and research accounting. You will gain a unique insight into the Higher Education sector, with real resonsiblity to deliver results. Flexible and adaptable in a changing environment, you may be assigned to other areas of the University to meet the needs of the service. This will in turn provide developmental opportunities in which to broaden experience and knowledge. To meet this exciting challenge, you’ll need a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 or C (or equivalent) in English and Maths and attainment at further education level. You will need a hunger for learning and commitment to completing your Level 7 Accounting Professional Qualification and your CIMA qualification.
