This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the cutting-edge, interdisciplinary Centre for Health Technology (CHT). You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues specialising in digital health, clinical artificial intelligence and implementation science research to deliver and contribute to the design and evaluation of innovative technologies, services and approaches to transform health and social care. You will report to Dr Edward Meinert and work closely with his research team as well as collaborating with other internal and external researchers and industry colleagues. Your primary role will be collaborating on digital health research studies making use of artificial intelligence in the development of conversational agents and to support population health analytics and clinical decision support. For a post-holder with technical skills, there will be an opportunity to participate in the design and development of the system. For a post-holder with a non-technical background, there will be the opportunity to contribute to requirements analysis. You will lead the mixed-methods evaluation of the adoption, experience, impact, and sustainability of the two technologies being evaluated. The analysis will inform their potential adoption in NHS clinical care pathways. You will also support literature reviews and grant applications focused on the evaluation of the design, development and of information systems and healthcare. You will have a PhD in a relevant discipline; for example, digital evaluation, health research, software engineering, computing science, psychology. You will have excellent communication skills, with a track record of published research appropriate to your level of experience. You will have the ability to work independently to solve problems and carry out high quality research. You will have the ability to balance and prioritise a varied workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines. You are comfortable and have experience with working collaboratively and presenting research findings.
